The Dollars Guild Rules

As the game progresses, these rules may change. In particular, the gear score requirements will rise as better gear becomes available. We will also listen to recommendations for any specific changes.

Loot Rules

The general rule of loot drops is that they go first to people who need them. This means that priority is given to people who will wear the item in their primary build or secondary build. Everyone gets one primary build. If you have 6000 gear score, you may also have one secondary build. This is per person, not per character. You can roll for an item in your secondary build only if no one needs that item for their primary build. Each player who wants to ever get to roll for guild loot must submit their planned build(s) via Discord (the #post-here channel). You must be planning on equipping that exact item; not using it to trait an identical item. “Using” an item for an illusion does not count. These rules apply to all loot drops, and whenever a rule mentions someone who “needs” an item, this is what that means. Once an item goes for sale in the guild auction house, this rule no longer applies.

Archboss equipment follows special rules. First, archboss equipment refers to items which can only be gotten from an archboss or a Nebula boss. If your ideal piece of equipment is archboss equipment, you can designate it and another piece of equipment in the same build. For example, you really want Cordy’s Warblade, but while you wait, you also designate Naru’s Greatblade. The archboss equipment must be your ideal piece, not vice versa. That is, you can’t take a Cordy’s Warblade while you’re waiting for a Naru’s Greatblade. For archboss weapons you may select two, and must designate each as priority 1, 2, or core. Priority 1 and 2 mean you are planning on using the weapon itself. Core means you plan to use the skill from the weapon in a piece of heroic equipment. Even if you plan to use two archboss weapons, you can’t designate two priority 1; one is priority 1, the other is priority 2. You get to roll on your priority 2 weapon only if no one who has it designated as priority 1 meets the archboss requirements below. You get to roll on a weapon for a core only if no one who has it designated as priority 1 or priority 2 meets the archboss requirements below.

Drops are distributed weekly on Saturday night (after guild bosses). Every piece of equipment that dropped from arch/field bosses in the previous week (ending at 23:59 Eastern Friday night), as well as all guild boss drops, will be rolled on by those who meet the requirements below. If you are not going to be attending guild bosses but meet the requirements to roll on one or more pieces of equipment, put a message in discord detailing what equipment you want to roll on. You can roll on any number of items each week, but you may only win 1. In the event you have the highest roll for multiple items, you get to pick the one you want most, and your other wins go to the next highest roll.

Any items where no one meets the requirements to roll will go to the guild auction house. Items from arch/field bosses are auctioned for 72 hours. Items from guild bosses are auctioned for 1 hour. Any item bought from the guild auction house may be used for any purpose (traits, lithograph book, resale, etc.)

Arch Bosses

Only people who have been members of the guild discord for at least one month, have at least 6000 gear score, and have at least 5000 activity points are eligible to get archboss unique equipment. 6600 gear score is required to get archboss equipment in a secondary build Non-unique equipment follows field boss rules. Archboss equipment goes first to the participants that attended the boss. The item is dispositioned according to the following list of priorities:

  1. Each player that participated and needs it can roll. Highest roll wins the item.
  2. If no participant needs the item, anyone in the guild who needs the item can roll.
  3. If the item has a brown border, the item is placed in the guild auction house for a minimum bid of 75% of the price it’s selling for in the normal auction house. If it doesn’t sell within 72 hours, it is sold on the normal auction house. In either case, the proceeds are split among the participants.
  4. If the item does not have a brown border, it is placed in the guild auction house at low price.

Field Bosses

Field boss equipment goes first to the group that attended the boss together. The item is dispositioned according to the following list of priorities:

  1. Each player in the group that needs it can roll. Highest roll wins the item.
  2. If no one from the group needs the item, anyone in the guild who needs the item and has at least 2500 activity points can roll.
  3. If the item has a brown border, the item is placed in the guild auction house for 75% of the price it’s selling for in the normal auction house. If it doesn’t sell within 72 hours, it is sold on the normal auction house. In either case, the proceeds are split among the group.
  4. If the item does not have a brown border, it is placed in the guild auction house at low price.

Guild Bosses

Guild bosses are run Saturdays at 7 PM Eastern Time. They are considered to be guild resources; as such, the person or group for which they drop has no special claim to the item. If you attend guild bosses, you may roll on any number of items that you need. In the event you cannot attend guild bosses on a regular basis (for example, you work at that time), you may designate three items that you would like to roll on; one weapon, one accessory, and one armor. If one drops, and if you have at least 2500 activity points at the time of the roll, a guild officer will roll in your place. This designation should occur in the discord channel.
